Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 May 2026
1. About these terms
These terms form a binding agreement between you and Mou Consulting Limited ("we", "us") governing your use of the MouAnalytics Finance platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to bind the business you represent. The Service is intended for UK-based small and medium businesses and their advisers. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- We offer Starter, Pro and Advisor plans, plus optional trials. Features and limits are described on our pricing page.
- Paid subscriptions are billed in advance via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
- Trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions on expiry unless cancelled before the trial ends, where stated.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or to infringe third-party rights.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying models.
- Upload data you are not authorised to process.
- Interfere with the security or availability of the Service.
5. Financial data and tax estimates
The Service produces algorithmic estimates (including UK tax, profitability and action plans) based on figures you supply or import. These outputs are decision-support tools, not regulated tax, accounting, legal or investment advice. You remain solely responsible for:
- The accuracy and completeness of the financial data you submit.
- Your statutory filings with HMRC, Companies House and any other authority.
- Verifying complex or material results with a qualified UK adviser.
6. Your data
You retain all rights in the data you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, process and display that data solely to provide the Service to you. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Confidentiality
We treat your business and financial data as confidential and limit access to personnel and processors who need it to provide the Service.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, models, content and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use it for your internal business purposes during your subscription.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business, or losses arising from tax penalties, interest or filings made in reliance on the Service's estimates.
- Our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate for material breach not remedied within 14 days of written notice. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a security risk. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we will delete your data in line with our retention policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice and take effect on the date stated.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
